College applications are complicated, unpredictable, high-stakes, and very competitive. I can help. 

Working closely with the student and family, I help identify colleges that are a good fit academically, developmentally, and financially. I work with the student on devising a realistic schedule, and on prioritizing what can seem like a daunting list of requirements. I assist in fine-tuning a list that is ambitious and realistic, strategic and safe. I help brainstorm and edit the creative, well-written essays and supplements that make the student stand out in a sea of applicants. 

People often describe college applications as a maze, and it is definitely complicated, confusing, and at times overwhelming. But calling it a maze implies that there’s just one right answer, one way out. College applications are actually more like open-ended puzzles, where the players use information, collaboration, intuition, planning, and sometimes a bit of well-informed gambling to come up with their own answers. I help fit the puzzle pieces together to find the right solutions for the student and the family.
